As Coronavirus continues to impact our lives, many of us are seeing the inside of our walls more than ever before. Whilst it’s great to be cocooned safe in our homes, not spending enough time outdoors can wreak havoc on our immune system. Sunshine is super import for our overall health and for the soul.
Getting that sunshine on our skin provides a lovely nourishing dose of vitamin D – often dubbed The Sunshine Vitamin. Keeping vitamin D levels topped-up helps your body stay healthy, lowers blood pressure, improves brain function, assists muscle development and protects against inflammation.
So, if you need a safe dose of sunshine whilst staying indoors you can try one of our three special stress reducing vitamin D boosting smoothie recipes. The best bit is you simply bung the ingredients into a blender and whizz for a minute!
