Our forefathers devised a very simple way to explain the nature and complexity of all matter – they did this by observing and documenting the core elements that make up life on earth.
A number of ancient cultures from Greece to Persia, and farther afield in India and Tibet, all had very similar lists of what these core elements were. The most common among them was Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
Though modern science would go much further to develop this idea – creating what is now the periodic table of elements, there’s something about the paired back classic elements that speaks to our simple style.
We’re all about creating clean and simple eco-positive clothes, using artisanal hand printing methods that have little to no impact to our environment. So we thought what better way to celebrate this than by pairing the two in our latest Elements range.
We’ve created paired back Earth, Air, Fire and Water logo’s and used these across our black and charcoal garments. We’ve also got limited edition prints of each element with their associated colour - each one sold will go to support our chosen charities: Woodland Trust, Plastic Oceans, World Land Trust – Wildfire Appeal, and Friends of the Earth – Campaign for Clean Air.
